Haiti Prayer Update

One of the things I love is watching how God uses people with specific skills and passions to further the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.  Just last Sunday Danny Menser volunteered to serve on a medical team heading to Haiti.  Danny is a nurse anesthetist and is extremely gifted.  He has been there for 8 days now and has a few more to go.

Julie Barney and her sister Linda Medlin

This morning I found out that another one of our own, Julie Barney, will be leaving on February 4th with another team to serve the wounded and hurting in Haiti.  Julie also has a nursing background. Julie will be traveling with her sister Linda, along with several others who will serve the Haitians for 10 days.

After watching the news for the past 2 weeks and seeing the devastation that has taken place, we can only imagine the opportunities that will exist for Danny, Julie, and the teams they are working with.  Let’s remember to keep them in our prayers asking the Heavenly Father to use them mightily as they serve those who are suffering greatly.  And as you pray for the people of Haiti, Danny, Julie, and the teams, remember to lift up their families who remain behind.
